AEGEAN BLUE - PODARAS

Aegean Blue is located on the volcanic side of Lesbos and sits on the cliff edge of Podaras, overlooking the Aegean Sea.  With spectacular rock formations, natural water sources and breathtakingly beautiful beaches, it really is the perfectly secluded spot. It boasts panoramic views of some of the most spectacular sunrises, sunsets and shooting star displays to be found in the northern hemisphere.

For those wishing to escape the stresses and demands of modern life, this is the spot.  Its unique atmosphere and unity with the rugged Greek island landscape allows even the most committed urbanite the opportunity to rediscover what it means to simply be. The Apartments

Thalassa (Sea) is a ground floor apartment and is situated at the front of the building overlooking the deck and sea. This self-catering studio apartment sleeps up to three adults, offers open-plan living with plenty of space to relax and a dual aspect view of the sea.

Koxilia (Shells) is a ground floor apartment and is situated at the front of the building overlooking the deck and sea. This self-catering studio apartment sleeps up to three adults, offers open-plan living with plenty of space to relax and double doors opening up to a sea view.

Xalikia (Pebbles) is a ground floor apartment and is situated at the back of the building which boasts amazing views of farmland and the russet-red hills among which nestles the town of Mesotopos. This self-catering studio apartment sleeps up to three adults and offers open-plan living with plenty of space to relax.

Anemos (Wind) is a ground floor apartment and is situated at the back of the building which boasts amazing views of farmland and the russet-red hills among which nestles the town of Mesotopos. This self-catering studio apartment sleeps up to three adults and offers open-plan living with plenty of space to relax.

Situated at the back of the building, Sirina (Siren) has three aspects: the hills of Mesotopos, the beach and sea and the cliff rock. This apartment consists of two separate bedrooms, each sleeping two people, and a shared kitchen/living space and bathroom. It also has its own balcony, which runs the width of the building.

Each apartment has a modern kitchen, fully fitted and equipped with all utensils, crockery and lots of storage space, whilst the fresh tiled bathroom contains a shower, basin and toilet. All apartments also have their own outside area with a table and chairs. Additionally, there is a shared area available to all guests who wish to sit back and take in the views during the day or enjoy a quiet drink or a chat in the evening.

Bed linen, bathroom towels, a pool towel and a beach towel are provided for each guest. Guests will be notified on arrival of laundry days and are asked to leave items to be washed outside their apartments for collection.

The Deck and Outside Area

Guests are welcome to use the deck at Aegean Blue for pursuits such as yoga, meditation and physical training. Situated at the edge of the cliff top overlooking the sea, this facility has awe-inspiring panoramic views. Imagine saluting the sunrise here! A stereo system is available for your use and there is nothing quite like the soft sound of laid-back tunes carrying on the breeze. However, given the beautiful evenings at Podaras, the deck has also been known host the odd party!

The 120 square metre deck has a hard wood floor covering so can be used for any purpose. However, it does need regular cleaning and we also recommend that groups bring exercise mats to work on.

Swimming Pool (Completed by June 2010)

Aegean Blue is pleased to announce that its plans for a chlorine-free swimming pool with waterfall and blue-on-blue view will be completed very soon. In the meantime, the warm crystal waters of the Aegean Sea come highly recommended!

Groups

Aegean Blue will accommodate a maximum of 16 people: 3 in each of the 4 studio apartments on the ground floor and 4 in the apartment at the top of the building. The entire Aegean Blue property is available for hire in the months of May, June, September and October - these are the months when you can be sure of complete peace and serenity for your group.

The Aegean Blue has parking and WIFI available for its guests.

Please note that Aegean Blue is primarily a retreat from the stress of modern living and is therefore not normally suitable for children under the age of 16.
